Support for Anxiety, Overwhelm, and the Emotional Weight Women Carry
Being a woman—and especially a mother—often means carrying more than you let on. You may be juggling responsibilities, relationships, work, parenting, and expectations while quietly feeling anxious, exhausted, or disconnected from yourself.
At In The Now Counseling, we offer therapy for women and mothers who want a supportive space to slow down, feel understood, and begin to feel more like themselves again.

You Don’t Have to be in Crisis to Need Support
Many women come to therapy saying:
- “I feel overwhelmed all the time.”
- “I’m doing everything for everyone else.”
- “I’m anxious, irritable, or emotionally drained.”
- “Motherhood doesn’t feel the way I expected.”
- “I don’t know who I am anymore.”
These experiences don’t mean you’re failing—they mean you’re human. Therapy can help you make sense of what you’re feeling and create space for relief, clarity, and change. You can also visit our homepage to learn more about all of the services we offer.
How We Support Women and Mothers
We work with women across many stages of life, including support for:
- Anxiety and chronic stress
- Emotional overwhelm and burnout

- Motherhood and parenting stress
- Postpartum and perinatal emotional support
- Relationship and boundary challenges
- Low self-worth or persistent guilt
Your goals guide the work. Therapy is collaborative, respectful, and tailored to you.
A Therapeutic Space Just for You
Our approach is warm, non-judgmental, and grounded in the belief that healing happens through feeling safe and understood.
When you work with us, you can expect:
- A therapist who listens without rushing or fixing
- A pace that feels comfortable for you
- Practical tools alongside emotional support
- A space where your needs matter
This is a place where you don’t have to hold it all together.
Therapy for Mothers—with Support for Your Whole Family
Many mothers reach out because they’re worried about their child—but quickly realize they need support too.
We often work with mothers whose children are also in therapy (play-based therapy is incredibly helpful for little ones), helping parents:
- Understand their child’s emotional needs
- Reduce parenting stress and self-blame
- Feel more confident and grounded at home
- Strengthen connection with their child
Supporting you supports your family.
