Grief Counseling, there is no right or wrong way to grieve.

Suffering a loss can be devastating. Whether death, divorce, or any other life altering event, there is no right or wrong way to grieve. If you are experiencing profound loss, grief counseling can help.

Experiencing Grief

You may be experiencing a range of emotions from shock and anger, to denial, guilt or unrelenting sadness.

You may also be experiencing physical symptoms, as well. Grief can impact your ability to eat and sleep. Maybe you’re unable to fall asleep, or unable to stay asleep. Grief can even impair your ability to think straight. Grief counseling can help.

You Can’t Ignore the Pain

Pain doesn’t go away if you ignore it. Quite the opposite is true. Please understand there is no such thing as “being strong” when it comes to grief. No one should ask you, or expect you, to bottle your feelings.

When suffering a loss, you need to allow yourself to feel your feelings. Expressing your feelings can help others around you grieve, too.

Acknowledging your feelings of loss and sadness can be painful. The process of grieving takes time. Unfortunately, there is no set time frame for grief.

Grief Counseling Can Help

In grief counseling, we can help you work through your pain. In therapy, we can help you to maintain the relationships with those that love you. Feeling your feelings and expressing them does help.

In life, and especially after loss, it’s important to take care of yourself. If you are experiencing profound grief, we are here for you.

You don’t have to experience this loss alone. The sooner you receive help, the sooner you can start to feel better.

Our office in Washington, PA is warm and inviting. It’s a lovely place to sit down with a drink, relax and talk.
